June 6, 2011 - The first day of classes began. I was a bit late that Monday morning because of our Davao trip (which I also planned on writing about but didn't have time). I was just told (verbally) to start teaching there because there's an available position or slot and they badly needed a teacher. So, I started teaching there for 2 weeks.
The school's name is Rizal Integrated School. It's still an Integrated School because it depended on the Elementary School. The Principal or the School Head of the Elementary School is also the Principal of the High School - thus, Integrated School. The HS also has no classrooms yet. Wonder where we do our classes? Well, the first year students were given one classroom from the ES. Then the second and third year students share the "social hall" (seen above). It's a pitiful situation because the students' voices and the teachers' as well are like fighting just to be heard.
The school is doing it's best to make funds for the classrooms. They were planning to make a "Make-Shift" classroom, that is made of nipa, just for temporary use. And I hope this time it will be carried on.
June 21, 2011 - I received a text from a staff in the Division Office telling me to come immediately to the office. I was late (again) to arrive because I received the text very very late. The text message was sent at around 11am but I received it by 3pm, and I was told to come at 3pm. So I hurriedly went there wishing that the Superintendent would still want to see me. Unfortunately, the Superintendent has gone already. So I was told to come back the next day.
I went back the next day, and this time I was able to talk to the Superintendent. He signed my "Order" saying that I would be teaching at Manapa Integrated School as a permanent teacher. Permanent Teacher! I was feeling very excited already. I was also told to complete my requirements like the NBI Clearance, Drug Tests, Neuro Tests and the like! I don't want to enumerate all of them because it's too many. I finished all these requirements (with the help of Maam Venus Rallos) on the same day but it was already 5pm. So, we decided to pass these papers the next day.
The day of the passing of requirements came, the staff checked my papers, then she told me the sort-of-bad-news. According to her, the School Head/Principal of Manapa IS came to her and voiced her concern regarding her school. In Manapa IS, they don't need another English Major, like me, because the teacher that will be transferred to another school is an Araling Panlipunan Major. So, they only need an AP Major. They already have a lot of English Major teachers there in Manapa IS.
This news really made me sad. The staff then told me to wait until Monday for further news because she will talk to the Superintendent again. She will text me on Monday (tomorrow, June 27) if ever there is already a news on where really is the school that I will be teaching.
Soo...I'm expecting a text message from the Division tomorrow and this time, I will be ready and won't get too excited anymore. Maybe the school assigned to me won't be that exciting...haay!

I'm Gonna...Teach!!!
Yeah! This is final. Really! I'm gonna teach when school starts this June 6.
I'll be teaching MAPEH, Araling Panlipunan and English this school year to 1st year to 3rd year students in a public school. I have already mentioned the place where I will teach in my previous blog. And really, I'm super duper excited! I'm excited to the upcoming challenges that will be coming to me! wheew!
But there's one catch...I have a problem regarding my other application in another school (private school). I mean, I haven't signed the contract yet, but how to tell them that I will not teach in their school anymore?? I was already given subjects to be taught. Gosh! I don't want to go to the school anymore. I guess I will just have to text or call them, right? Gosh! :-/
Hope everything will turn out fine. :)

When School Starts...
It's the last week of May and people are starting to enroll in their schools. Some may transfer and some may remain in their old school.
But in may case, I won't be enrolling. This year is gonna be fun and full of adventure for me. This year, I will open a new chapter of my life, and I'm very much ready for it!
I'm hoping I'll be really in or hired to be a teacher in one of the schools here. And that's what I'm currently doing. I've been busy with my application and ranking so I'll have more chance to get inside. (You know what I mean; but if you don't, just try to understand).
I'm going to be assigned (if successfully hired) in Rizal, Buenavista, Agusan del Norte. You have to look at the map for this. It's not in the city. Some may call it Barrio or Bukid. It's a public school. So this is going to be a big challenge for me since I've been a sort-of "city girl". But this I know for sure - that I can cope up with the surroundings or environment there. I won't promise though, but I will really try my best to help the students there.
So if I will be hired, this means I'll have lesser time to tweet on Twitter, Facebook and also blog. But I'll try my best to still write about my experiences there.
So wish me luck! <3

Just Expressing Myself!
I know I make stupid and nonsense status or "What's on your mind posts" on Facebook. I'm sorry about that.
I did not intend to do it to insult or make fun to a person's well-being. I posts status to speak my mind because I DON'T and CAN'T usually voice out my opinions. Internet is the only way I can express my true feelings. Hoping people can understand and won't misunderstand me.
But it seems that it's the opposite that happened. One simple status that means another thing is interpreted in another way. So this time, I learned a lesson. I will be careful. But this thing that happened won't stop me from voicing or expressing what I feel. Whether you like it or not! That's freedom of expression!
Once again, I'M SORRY.

The Hassles in Applying a Job!
When you're an applicant, you can't really complain to the people that's going to hire you. You have to look good and pleasing even though you are tired. You also have to wait and be patient.
This morning, I went to a public school to have this "ranking" so that I'll be hired as a teacher (hopefully). But I went home without accomplishing anything. Even the interview! Ggrrr! I waited for like 8 hours in the school. Now I have to go back again tomorrow.
Another day, same goal. Hoping so much that it will be my turn.
haaayy...life... :)

My Nanay is the best because...
she always takes care of me and my brother.
she always makes sure that we're alright.
she's a fighter.
she always looks beautiful.
she's always here for us when we need her.
she cooks us delicious foods.
she washes our clothes.
she's a real friend.
she loves us sooo much!
The list goes on...I can't even enumerate them all.
I love her soo much!!
..coz she's my one and only Nanay..xoxoXOXoxox

All About My Brother
I have an older brother named Reycar Segundo. And I'm writing this for him 'coz it's his birthday today. He's older than me for two years. His name is a combination of my father's (Rey) and mother's (Carmelita) name. And the "Segundo" is taken from my grandfather's name. Pretty suave, right?
As a young kid, he's kinda raised to be a bit the spoiled type. But he doesn't complain or have super duper tantrums like most child these days have. He's a well-behaved kid. He's close to my father when he grew up. Some people also say he looks like my father.
Talking about our relationship as brother and sister, we're like cats and dogs. When we were younger, we always fight. He loves to tease me because I easily cry and whine. I'm such a whiner, that's why. We used to play wrestling in our room. But that stopped when the "big crisis" came in our family. When my father died, he drew farther and farther to us. He seemed to stop living in the real world. His only solace was the internet shops in the city.
Anyway, all these things are just my observations to him. I really don't know what he thinks 'coz we seldom talk. We haven't even had that one conversation that talks about our life or plans in life seriously. It's not that we avoid each other, it's just that maybe he doesn't want to share things to me. It's alright with me, boys are like that.
I love my brother and I know he loves me too. I want him to finish his studies so he can do the things he wants to do. I'm always here for him even though I told him one day in one of our fights that I would never ever help him any more.
So anyway, happy birthday bro! You're always free to comment in his blog if you have some violent reactions of what-so-ever! Love lots! <3 <3 <3
The younger us in Davao City.
I didn't know he was at my back. haha!
My handsome brother in our cousin's wedding.
Me and my bro on my birthday. Wacky!!
We were partners on the wedding of our cousin.
He loves playing the guitar.

The Job Hunting
Last Tuesday (April 12), I woke up and decided to go on with my plan of seeking jobs or passing my application letter and other pertinent documents to two of my target schools. My bf, Ram, got mad at me on Monday (April 11) 'coz I kinda promised him that I will work on it on that day. I was too lazy that day because I slept at 1 am already! Gosh! Because of this QNB thing. QNB means quick news bites. It's a news site my cousin boss made and the writers are us! We got really busy because that was like the "launching" of the site.
So, anyway, I got up and fixed myself. I had a little trouble because I thought I lost my flash disk. In it were the application papers and resume I encoded beforehand. I was making plans of encoding it again on my mother's office since I'll be printing the files on her office too. Luckily, I found my flash disk hidden inside my HK pouch bag. I blew out a little sigh.
I arrived at my mother's office at around 11am already. I was kinda late on my scheduled plan. So upon arriving, I printed my papers then wait for lunch time. When 1pm arrived, I went to the first target school - Holy Child Colleges of Butuan. I went to the secretary and told her that I wanted to apply for a teacher. She said she'll just receive my papers and call me if the president would be back. She said the president's out of town. So I left my papers in her hands, thinking when they will call me.
Next up, I went to the second target school - Saint Joseph Institute of Technology. We had a relative working there in the high school department. So I went to her first and asked her to accompany me to the HR Office. We went there and a secretary handed me some papers to be filled up. It was like a PDS (personal data sheet) but in their own version. It took me awhile since there were a lot of things to be filled out. When I was done, the HR head talked to me. Most of the things he said that I totally remembered was that he suggested that I take a Masteral Degree. They were in dire need of an ESL teacher because they have this new program. They accept foreign students, so they need teachers that are expert on teaching English for foreign learners or students. According to Mr. HR Head, if I take my masterals this June, he'll hire me as a part time English instructor until I finished. I was then thrilled at that time. He then told me to go to their testing center and take a test there. I was finished at around 4:30pm already. When I got back to his office, he told me to go back the next day (April 13) for an interview with the dean.
April 13 arrived I was all jittery and nervous. I didn't know what kind of preparations I'm gonna do. Good thing Ram was there to help me. He said that I calm down and just be myself. Confidence is the most important thing and that should be the attitude I'm going to put inside me. But it seems to be a little difficult.
The HR head told me that at 2pm I should be there already. I arrived 1:48pm in his office. I thought I was the only one that the dean would interview. There were other people, mostly ladies. I felt like so little at that time. I felt insecure. But I shoved it aside as we made our way to the dean's office. I was the 3rd girl that was interviewed.
The dean was a guy. Stupid me, I didn't know the name (im sorry!). He asked me those typical questions for an interview. But there was one statement he said that really caught my attention, "You're preempting me." I was like what?? I was really puzzled why he said that. Did I say something wrong?? Hmm..maybe I do, but which part? I was being genuine during the interview. I don't know. I was really puzzled.
After the interview, we went back to the HR Office and had a little talk with the HR head about the results of the interview with the dean. The HR head said my interview was alright. The result, as what the HR said, the dean "highly recommended" me to the basic education or in the high school department. I was a bit saddened by the result. But it was alright. I wasn't really qualified to be an ESL teacher anyway.
So in the end, SJIT will just inform me when the demo will be. Sooo..I'm patiently waiting...and hoping they would call soon. And also, I have to prepare for the demo...Good luck and God bless to me! :)

My Loved Ones...
I've got plenty of people surrounding me. There are quite a lot of friends and family. But the ones that I consider the closest to me is, of course, most dear to me. Which means I treasure them more and I care for them more than the others! haha! But don't worry, I also care for those not included on the list. It's just I care for them "more"..you understand my point? heehee..hope you do 'coz I don't want to be misunderstood.
So let's start with my dear mother. I call her "Nanay" and most people call her that too. She's so sexy and good-looking, people tend to ask if we're just sisters. Some also say that my Nanay's more beautiful than me. Of course she is! She's like original, and I'm like the copycat! haha!
So this is my Nanay. And if you're asking where my Tatay is, well, he's with Our Creator already. He died 'coz of an accident. I don't want to share the details anymore 'coz it'll make me cry. ;( I missed him though. It's been 10 years already.
Then there's my brother. I felt a little guilty awhile ago when I was looking for pictures of him. I haven't had much photos of him. And we rarely have a shot together. Which means, we rarely bond. He's always busy with some things and I'm also busy with my biz. When at home, we rarely talk or have a conversation. But even though our relationship's like that, I do love and care for him. He's my only brother. I wouldn't trade him for anything else in the world!
We look cute right?!
Next up is my lovey dovey boyfriend. We've been together for like 5 years already. We started our relationship when we were in our fourth year in high school. Some say that a love like that is just a puppy love or young love. But look at us now! Our love has grown like we grow too. I don't know what's with him that I can't really leave him. It's like he's my other half. We've tried breaking up for like a month. But I tell you, I was like a living dead walking on earth at that time. I don't know with him what he looked like at that time, but people said he looked horrible too. haha! So, we're really better off together. And I do hope, wish and pray that God will always bless our relationship. That it'll be us in the end. And it'll be us forever! gee! <3
Beside is our latest pic. We were in Dumaguete for his graduation.
The younger us. I think this was taken at a Mall in Bohol. Not really sure though. haha!
Just fooling around! :p
And the photo of us on our way to their "bukid" in Jabongga, Agusan del Norte. :D
And before I forgot...i also love and care y'all my cousins, aunts and uncles to both sides (racho and glovasa) mwahugs to you all!!!!!
<3 <3 <3 more love less fightin'
